Work Hangover...

...has anyone experienced that? I'm talking about the feeling you get after working long hours for many days of stressful work until your suddenly stop or slow down. That day, when you wake up, you feel like you've been hit with something heavy right in your face. Yep, that's exactly how I feel right now. I feel sore, lazy, and this headache is killing me.

I'll explain everything. After all, it's been a little while hasn't it. While some things have happened since my last post (ie, my giveaway has ended and my chevron rings have reached Etsy's front page, yay!), my free time has been literally zero. If you've been following me for a while (and I deeply thank you if so), you may be aware that I'm now finishing my thesis so I can obtain my Master's degree in landscape architecture. This hasn't been easy at all, as I've almost literally turned into a desk potato and lost knowledge of what 'resting' means for over two weeks. I'd been working everyday, every weekend, from 8am to 23pm or later when I'm able to, with the intention of calling it a delivery next Thursday and spend some time chilling until I hit my thesis defense in the beginning of September. Then, just yesterday, my supervisor decided I should go even deeper in my theme and develop my project a little more. This means my delivery has been postponed for the end of August and I won't come to enjoy any vacation. I'm exhausted and pissed. During the last couple of weeks I barely slept and even stopped doing pilates because I couldn't afford to lose a single hour to this project. I know it wasn't for nothing, but now I need to replenish myself so I have the courage to face (yet) another moon of this.

Alas, I'll try and slow down a little bit so I can catch up with Terra Mystique in the meanwhile. If you've placed an order during the last week, it will be dispatched between today and tomorrow. I'm sorry if you've been waiting for a while now. Also, of course I haven't forgotten about the giveaway, so stay tuned in a few days for the winners announcement. :)

Full Buck (Super)Moon

As the moon crests the forest tops there’s a young buck stretches his neck. Arching high into the night air he searches the night for the scents that it carries. The clover is big and plump, and sweet with nectar, the apples are forming on the trees, and his antlers are growing strong out of his skull. As his shadow changes do to the ever-changing form taking shape upon his head.
- from Mystic Familiar

Happy Full Moon everyone! Sadly, I don't have much time to write a cool, elaborate post today. In fact, I haven't had the time for days. With only a couple of weeks left to finish and deliver my Master's final project and paper, I've been spending my days, even my weekends, in front of my laptop and surrounded by huge tomes and piles of research papers on horticulture, biodiversity and urban ecology. While the sun shines so bright outside and lots of people walk down the street towards the beach. It's not fair.

Of course, I've been taking very small breaks to work on new jewelry (still hoping to add them to the shop by the end of the month), doing some pilates and going for little walks outside. Even so, my soul's almost in agony. This leads to today's topic: today's Full Moon rises in Capricorn, and happens to be what we usually call a Supermoon. That is, the Moon is at her closest approach to the Earth so she'll appear to be slightly bigger and up to 30% brighter tonight.

July's Full Moon is a very 'masculine' Moon, as moose and deer start to grow their antlers in this time of the year- hence the name Full Buck Moon. This is, then, a great time to work on the pshysical things in our lives, both physical in body and any other things requiring physical attention. When it comes to the physical body, if you've been feeling weary/energyless and/or having excess mucus or digestive issues, you are not alone. I came across this very interesting page this morning, and it would seem that the meridian governed by Capricorn is related to energy in the glandular system and these specific body parts (respiratory and digestive systems). I, as well as some other people I know, have been feeling this way for a couple of days, so it makes perfect sense to me. I've been letting daily stress take over my soul, so I took a good time to treat myself nice. I recommend you to do the same. Fill your tub with warm water, Epsom salts, herbs, essential oils, you name it... light a couple of candles and/or incense and let the magick unfold. Your body, mind and soul will thank you afterwards. Mine did!

I guess that's it for today people... sorry I don't even have pictures of my own to show today! I know that's lame. I really need to take deep breaths, surround myself with things I love and meditate for some new thrill in my life. I may talk more about what I've been up to lately in the next few days, so bare with me! Oh- and I almost forgot... WELCOME new followers! :) I hope you will enjoy your stay here and stick with me after the giveaway ends!

My Top 5 Summer Polishes

If you've been following me for a while, you might be aware of my nail polish obsession by now. And if you're new here (most probably because of the ongoing giveaway), welcome! Here's a first thing about me for you to know. :) Nail polish is surely one of my biggest addictions- aside from kimonos, crystals, chocolate and many other things... I own it in so many colors, I don't think I'll ever be able to finish all of those colorful vials. Anyway, I thought I'd share some of my favorite tones, so here goes!

To me, summer is all about bright, bold colors, preferably those reminiscent of the sea. In other words, mainly turquoise and coral. This reflects a lot in my nails during this time of the year. Sure, I'll also wear discrete colors once in a while, but these are my main choices. I'm also more into solid colors rather than glitter- can't really figure out why.

(from left to right)
1. Andreia Professional Nail Polish #119
2. Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer Light Peach #359
3. Andreia Professional Nail Polish #122
4. Yes Love #437
5. Andreia Professional Nail Polish #121

How often do you wear nail polish? And what are your favorite tones to wear? Please feel free to share below! :)

PS. Please forgive my photos' low quality, but these were taken in a really moody weather, which makes my home's natural lighting fall into misery... anyway, have a nice weekend everyone!

*CLOSED* Anniversary Giveaway: win a minimalist beach necklace - 3 winners!

Guys! Terra Mystique has completed one year of age almost a month ago... and I totally forgot about it! What kind of business manager am I?! My day-to-day life must have been WAY too chaotic, for me to forget about something like this. I love my jewelry business more than most things in my life, so yeah, I'm kinda mad.

Anyway, it's been a whole year since I restarted in the world of handmade- and what a journey it's been. I have no words to describe how joyful it is to see your little dream to grow, your creations travelling around the world, your photographs reaching Etsy's front page (speaking of that, I've had another front page feature this week, so happy!), and so on. So, to celebrate - and to THANK YOU all for accompanying me in this adventure - here's something everybody loves! I'm talking about a giveaway, of course. But this ain't an ordinary one... I will not pick one winner, nor two, but THREE winners! And since it's summer time already, my prizes are three beach-themed minimalist necklaces, featuring a seahorse, starfish or anchor charms. Super delicate and perfect if you're into stacking neck candy.

Here's how it works: basically, the first winner gets to pick their favorite from these three; the second picks their favorite from the remaining two; and the third winner will get the last necklace standing. To try your luck simply log in the rafflecopter app below and follow the steps. Only the first one is mandatory, but the more steps you complete, the more chances you have to win! If you have any questions or if you find any fault with the app please let me know so I can help you or fix it. :) Good luck everyone!

Also, don't forget there are only 24h remaining from my Summer Sale from this precise moment, so if you'd like to grab something from Terra this is a great time as all orders can get a 10% discount with the coupon code MIDSUMMER! Nevertheless, have an awesome weekend!

My June in Instagram

1. These palm trees reaching for the sky made me dream of those long beach days.
2. Creepy yet awesome contrast between a dense, dark cloud and the clear blue sky.
3. Watching fireworks with the boys (not the best snapshot but oh well).
4. My new babies! Found these baby succulents in Ikea and couldn't resist them.

5. My newest breakfast addition, quick muffins based on oats and berries.
6. Beautiful bougainvillea flowers under the wide sky.
7. Back to the place where we shot Terra Mystique's lookbook.
8. Feeling great after sweating like a beast to Cassey Ho's cardio workouts.

9. Misha isn't happy with his new collar. But I need him to get used to it.
10. My latest purchase from Romwe. Got this pretty paisley romper on sale, and I'm gonna rock it at the beach this summer. :)
11. New stretch bracelets to be launched in Terra's new collection... these are mainly made of rosewood, gemstones and natural shells.
12. A sea of african lily flowers right in front of my home.

Well, hello July! The first half of this year is now gone. What a mindblow! So much has happened in the last six months, but it's also been so damn quick.

By looking at all the pictures above, I can't help to notice that my June in Instagram went around the sky above me a few times. I guess I've been looking above many times lately. Looking to a wide, mysterious dimension. To new, immense possibilities... my internship is now officially over, so who can tell what will happen now! I still have my Master's final paper to finish and deliver, and my presentation in September. But until then, Summer is here people! My fav time of the year. I love this small sense of youth and freedom in the air, even when I'm really busy (like now).

How was your June? And what plans do you have for July? Also, feel free to follow me on Instagram if you want to! Happy July lovelies!
