Spring Wishlist

1. Peacock Feather Earrings. Been craving for a pair of these for so long! These are from The Supply Shack but their shipping fees are a little on the heavy side for me. Either way, I don't think I'll give up on the idea until I get my pair so soon.

2. Superstretch Trousers in Brown by H&M. Because I've overrated jeans for quite a while and it's about time I try something slightly different. Plus, wearing denim shirts + jeans together = awkward.

3. Mint Vegan Lip Balm by Herbivore Botanicals. I've had my eyes on their shop for such a long time. Their stuff looks amazing and oh-so-yummy for the body, can't wait to try some of it.

4. Ergonomic Chain Nose Pliers by Vintaj. I really, really need new pliers to work on my jewelry! These Vintaj pliers look so pretty, durable and comfy, although any chain nose pliers will do comparing to my current old ones which refuse to open and close by my will.

5. Nike Free Run Shoes in Mint Green. Because it's spring baby, and I need to get back to jogging and pilates!

6. First Aid Kit's album "The Lion's Roar". Found this indie folk duo a few days ago and I'm addicted.

7. Expedit Insert with 2 Drawers in Turquoise by Ikea. Got my first insert a couple of months ago and need a second one to finish organizing my stuff. I really adore this insert especially because the color matches my bedroom's main wall perfectly.

8. Moon Phases Tank Top by Front Row Shop. This one is already sold and can't find a cheap similar one anywhere... if you happen to know about an available top like this one (no crop tops please), please let me know! :)

9. Gold Plated Fox Stud Earrings. Found these on eBay. I guess I've been a little obsessed with foxes recently. Hope it's not because of the song?

10. "Light on Yoga" book by B. K. S. Iyengar. My interest towards yoga and its practice has been growing exponentially so I've decided to go through a couple of books while I cannot afford classes.

11. A spider plant in a vase. Hanging by my bedroom's window. Spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) are great indoor plants because they improve air quality without requiring much water and direct light. Also, I've come to believe that a room without plants is a lifeless one.

12. Aztec Patterned Pencil Skirt by Romwe. If you're into rich ethnic patterns then you'll love Romwe's latest additions to their store! Although I'm also fond of their paisley kimono, this skirt is so unique looking.

Well, I really don't think I'll ever be able to afford half of this stuff, but a girl can always dream, right?
Happy weekend everyone!

Welcome Spring

Spring's arrival is always such a delight for me (well, for many of us, isn't it?). I wish I would've been able to write a special Spring equinnox post but the last couple of weeks have been so overwhelming, between studying, processing orders and finally going through a new creative process (see above).

I spent the last weekend tagging along with my boyfriend's family and met a few relatives of theirs who came to visit from the (faraway) south. On Sunday afternoon we beat the chilly wind and went for a group walk by the seashore. It had been quite of a long time since I'd heard the soft crashing of waves even though I live so close to the sea. I guess that sometimes our lives get so busy that we totally forget about our everyday surroundings.

So back to Terra Mystique, I have lots of new items ready to be added to the shop- which I will certainly be doing during this week. My passion for this baby business has been growing in such a massive way, I just wish I had more time to devote myself to it.

How did you greet Spring?

20 Great Things About Spring

Good afternoon sunshine! The sun finally shines around here, even if it'll be only for a couple of days. This morning I had the most beautiful vision I could ask for today... as I stared through the window of the bus on my way to my internship, rays of morning sunlight danced between the mists that covered the hills next to the road. And it feels so good to feel their touch, even through the window of the office where I'm sitting now.

Most people (me included, of course) are feeling pretty excited already as we step towards March's equinox. And there's no denial to the coming of Spring. It's already here- we can all feel it, right? It all happened so suddenly. One day, flowers started to bloom from pretty much anywhere and, for the first time in moons, the sun was still (subtly, but still) gleaming atop the trees when I left the office yesterday.

But there are many other reasons to anticipate spring. Here are some of the things I like the most about this time of the year!

The first pretty flowers peeking up from the earth and the grass.
Sunshine for a few days in a row.
Waking up to tweeting birds outside.
Opening the windows to clear the wintery air and refresh the home.
Days getting longer.
Taking a walk without shivering.
Magnolia and cherry trees in bloom.
Pastel shades.
Putting the heavy coats and all those layers aside.
Going out more.
Romance.
Bike rides.
Spring candy, like chocolate coated almonds.
Bunnies! And other baby animals.
Floral shirts, floral dresses, floral boots, floral everything.
Picnics in the park.
Getting excited for some spring cleaning.
Tending (or starting) a garden.
More smiles.
The promise of good things to come.

Love and fresh flowers to you,

My February in Instagram

1. My star jar at the end of the first month of the year. Been skipping a few days since then but I'm still working on it.
2. Finally was able to start reading this year's Llewellyn magickal almanac.
3. A lazy rainy Sunday dusk... days are starting to feel a little longer.
4. Snapped this little festival of greens on my way to my internship.
5. At the post office, ready to dispatch my last arrowhead necklace in stock. All my orders go in a sturdy kraft giftbox, ready for gift giving!
6. Japanese quince flowers near my internship office.

7. Feeling on top of the world after some yoga practice.
8. There are way too many beautiful abandoned houses in Porto. This one fascinates me in particular.
9. Taking a break from work to go for a walk and reconnect with Nature.
10. The hugest magnolia tree in bloom.
11. The hugest magnolia tree in bloom part II.
12. And yet more magnolia goodness.

Hello, March. Another moon has come and gone and we are now heading towards marvellous spring!
As you may notice through the pictures above, my latest weeks have focused mainly on the coming of Spring. If you feel kind of withdrawn and gloomy (just like me), the time has come to start shooing those winter blues. It is now time to reconnect.

Everytime I had the chance I'd make a break from work and just go outside to enjoy the little bits of sunlight that peeked from the dark clouds now and then. I still crave a lot for the real thing, but watching so many blooming trees and flowers brings me some sense of balance for now. Magnolia trees are my biggest pre-spring obsession. I may not be a fan of pink but I love gazing at their flowers and walking on sidewalks covered in their petals. Also, I finally got back to yoga practice, and I'm now comitted to channel my energy through stretching and breathing much more often.

On the bad side, I haven't been able to work on Terra Mystique on a daily basis, so lately it all sums up to processing orders and managing the shop. The summer collection has been a lot in my head although, so one may count with new additions in a couple of moons!

Feel free to follow my Instagram for more 'behind the scenes' goodies and happy March everyone!
